You can promise to head to the gym more or swap out your fries for a side salad, but resolving to find love is more of a challenge - it doesn’t really work until it works - and it can be hard to know where to start.
So here are 5 resolutions you can make (and keep) to help you meet someone special in 2018.
1. Ditch the Bars
Want to meet someone genuine and honest this year? Don’t go to a bar. We might think of bars as the cliche starts of so many relationships, but studies prove otherwise.
Only 2% of men and 9% of women have ever formed a relationship with someone they met at a bar. Bars are great for chasing beers after work, but you probably won’t meet your future beau at one.

5. Set goals
Just like any other new year's resolution, it’s a good idea to set small goals to keep yourself on track.
It’s a lot easier to measure your progress when it comes to losing weight or cutting back on alcohol, but you can still set relationship goals for yourself.
Try sending at least one message a week, vow to go on one first date every other week and say yes to a second date even if there weren’t fireworks on the first.
