Matchmaker.com is one of the best dating sites I found here if you are looking for singles in your area. I was a bit hesitant to start paying just so I could reply to messages sent to me, but I felt that it would be worth the investment. I also particularly liked how I could leave sort of a memo for myself about profiles I liked - it helps me remember which one I liked easily. Matchmaker.com has a lot of great features similar to other online sites, but to use them, you have to pay for it.

A lot of my friends have met great singles they went out with for several months on Matchmaker.com. So, I made my own profile but found out that to use most of the great features the site had to offer, I had to pay for it. I did, and was pleased with the results. For me, it's a good thing that paid members get higher search rankings because it allows serious searchers like me to find someone as serious as I am.
