Date.com : Dating Site Review
Date.com - Just Another Online Dating Site
Location: California
My wife and I met through Date.com years back. Both she and I were new and hesitant to the world of online dating, but with so many features, we both learned quickly and soon we were posting photos, sending each other instant messages, and emailing each other. This is one part I liked best - I didn't have to give them my real email just to receive messages. In case something didn't go well, no one could flood my inbox with spam messages. However, before I met my wife, I came across plenty of fake profiles which were a total waste of time. I hope this is something they will address in the future.
Not so Happy

I don't know if it is just me or the price of $24.95/month for Date.com just so you can use features like email, chat and instant messaging, as well as audio and video messaging are worth it. I also dislike the fact that after seeming to find your match, you need to pay first before you get to communicate with that person. I mean, come on! If they didn't have more than 8 million members, I wouldn't bother signing up.
Slightly annoyed but...

Date.com has been around for several years, so I decided to give it a try myself. However, I was annoyed by how a lot of the people who use this site write incorrect stuff in their profiles. I paid so I could communicate with a girl who shared my passion for Stephen King novels and when I asked her what she thought of The Langoliers, she never replied!!! She could have Googled it or something...
